1. What types of dishes are suitable for church group gatherings?
For church fellowships and potlucks, Pide (Turkish Pizza) and Lahmacun are ideal choices as they are easy to share and eat by hand. For sit-down dinners or banquets, our Mix Kebab Platters (featuring Chicken Shish, Meatballs, and Adana Kebab) served with rice and salad provide a hearty, communal feast that feeds large groups efficiently.
2. Are your church menus customizable for religious dietary needs?
Yes.
No Pork: Our entire facility is 100% Halal, meaning we do not serve pork or pork products, which is a safe, high-quality standard for all guests.
Lent/Fasting: For periods like Lent where meat is avoided, we offer excellent Vegetarianoptions such as Vegetarian Pide, Spinach & Cheese Pide, Hummus, Eggplant Salad, and Stuffed Vine Leaves. Note: Please be aware that seafood/fish is currently not on our menu.
3. Is Mama Fatma involved in preparing food for church events?
No.
"Mama Fatma" is the brand name. The food for your church event is prepared by a team of professional chefsin our commercial kitchen, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to health and safety standards for large congregations.
4. Do you cater to both formal services and informal fellowship meals?
Yes.
Informal Fellowship: We can provide trays of appetizers, dips (Mezze), and sliced Pide for a casual "coffee hour" or youth group meetup.
Formal Banquets: We offer plated service or elegant buffets with chafing dishes for church anniversaries, fundraising galas, or pastoral appreciation dinners.
5. Can you deliver to churches across Toronto and GTA?
Yes.
We service the entire Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, and Scarborough. We can deliver directly to the church hall or community center kitchen.
6. Do you offer pickup or full-service setup for church events
Both options are available.
Pickup/Drop-Off: Ideal for weekly bible study groups or smaller meetings.
Full-Service: For large Sunday lunches or holiday events, our staff can handle the buffet setup, serving, and cleanup.
7. Are there special menu options for Sunday or religious holidays?
While we do not have specific religious holiday themes (like Easter Ham), our Sunday menu is perfect for post-service meals. The Stuffed Lamb Ribs (Kuzu Kaburga) is a magnificent centerpiece for special religious holidays (must be ordered 48 hours in advance), and our family-style platters are designed for Sunday gatherings.
8. Can we schedule recurring catering for weekly gatherings?
Yes.
We can set up a recurring catering schedule for weekly events such as Wednesday night dinners, Sunday School lunches, or Bible Study groups, offering varied menu rotations to keep the meals exciting.
9. What’s the minimum and maximum guest count you can accommodate?
We cater to "Small & Large Parties."whether it is a small committee meeting of 10 people or a full congregation lunch for hundreds. There is no strict minimum, but for large full-service events, we recommend booking in advance to ensure staff availability.
