1. Do you offer catering for private boat or yacht parties?
Yes. While we do not have a specific "Yacht Package," our Private Party Catering services extend to any location within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), including marinas and docks. Our team can provide the food for your nautical event.
2. Is the menu suitable for open-air or moving environments?
Yes, perfectly.Turkish cuisine features many items that are stable and easy to eat without a knife and fork, which is ideal for a moving boat.
Cold Mezzes: Hummus, Haydari, and Eggplant Salad hold up well outdoors.
Finger Foods: Sigara Böreği (Fried Cheese Rolls) and sliced Pideare wind-resistant and mess-free.
3. Can Mama Fatma’s team deliver directly to marinas or docks?
Yes. We deliver across Toronto and Mississauga. We can arrange a precise drop-off at the marina parking lot or dockside to hand over the food to your crew before departure.
4. Are your meals packaged securely for easy serving on boats?
Yes. Our "Drop-Off" catering comes in secure, stackable aluminum trays (for hot food) and sealed containers (for cold mezzes), preventing spills during transport and making it easy to store in the boat's galley until serving time.
5. Do you offer finger food or cocktail-style catering for boat events?
Yes. This is the most popular style for boat parties. We recommend a menu of Lahmacun (rolled up), Pide slices, Stuffed Vine Leaves (Sarma), and Fried Cheese Rolls. Guests can graze on these "Cocktail Bites" while mingling on deck.
6. Can you accommodate birthday or corporate celebrations on the water?
Yes. We cater to both "Small & Large Parties." Whether it is a corporate sunset cruise or a private birthday yacht party, we can provide a menu that fits the scale of your celebration.
7. Do you handle setup and cleanup onboard the boat?
Generally, No. Due to the specific safety and space restrictions of private vessels, our staff typically does not stay onboard to serve during the cruise unless specifically arranged and cleared with the boat's captain. We usually provide Drop-Off Service(delivery to the dock) so the boat's own crew can manage the service.
8. Are there seafood or Mediterranean mezze options available?
Mediterranean Mezzes: Yes, absolutely. We offer a rich variety of cold Mediterranean appetizers like Hummus, Babagannuş, and Ezme.
Seafood: No. Please note that fish/seafood entrees (like Sea Bass) are not currently on our menu. We recommend focusing on our vegetarian mezzes and grilled meat platte
9. How much notice do you need for a boat party catering reservation?
Since boat parties often require strict timing for departure:
Booking: We recommend confirming your order at least 1-2 weeks in advance.
Delivery Timing: We advise scheduling the food delivery 45-60 minutes before your boat's departure time to ensure there are no delays in casting off.
